Bulk Red Raspberry Seed Oil

Manufacturer direct virgin Red Raspberry Seed Oil, cold pressed and plate filtered in Washington.

Berry Beautiful manufactures bulk Red Raspberry Seed Oil from seed recovered from the Pacific Northwest berry processing stream. We dry and clean the seed, mechanically cold press the oil, allow it to settle, plate filter it, arrange lot testing, and package it ourselves.

We supply skincare brands, formulators, contract manufacturers, ingredient distributors, spas, and product developers seeking a traceable oil purchased directly from the people who make it. Conventional and USDA Certified Organic grades may be available depending on crop, lot, certification, and current inventory.

Our oil is supplied as a virgin, first press, unrefined botanical oil. We do not bleach, deodorize, degum, chemically refine, or solvent extract it. Its natural color and aroma are not standardized away.

Virgin and Unrefined by Design

We sell Red Raspberry Seed Oil at the stage where we know it best: freshly pressed, settled, plate filtered, tested, and otherwise unrefined. We do not strip the oil simply to make every lot look and smell identical.

Red raspberry seed is an agricultural raw material. Crop year, seed source, raspberry variety, growing conditions, seed storage, and pressing conditions can influence the finished oil’s color, aroma, viscosity, and skin feel. A virgin lot may be golden, amber, or display a natural green hue. Its aroma may be mild, seedy, musky, or softly fruity.

These sensory differences are a normal consideration when purchasing a genuinely virgin botanical oil. Color or aroma alone does not determine a lot’s fatty acid identity or overall suitability. Berry Beautiful evaluates finished lots using the applicable specification, production history, sensory observations, and independent laboratory testing.

Many independent formulators, small brands, spas, and makers use the oil as supplied because they value its natural identity and expect reasonable crop and lot variation. Other manufacturers purchase our virgin oil as a traceable starting material and choose additional filtration, color reduction, deodorization, or refining when a finished product requires an exceptionally narrow color or odor specification.

Those downstream steps are the buyer’s formulation and processing decisions. Berry Beautiful’s role is to provide a fresh, manufacturer direct, minimally processed oil with clear lot documentation. If your formula has strict color, aroma, viscosity, or appearance requirements, request a current lot sample before approving a production order.

Historical Composition and Current Lot Results

Natural color and aroma can change without materially changing the oil’s characteristic fatty acid profile. Berry Beautiful maintains more than 13 years of conventional Red Raspberry Seed Oil testing and production records to help buyers understand both natural variation and long term compositional consistency.

The historical ranges below reflect Berry Beautiful’s observed conventional oil results. They are provided for formulation and quality reference, are not guaranteed ranges, and do not replace the applicable product specification or lot Certificate of Analysis.

Historical ranges apply to conventional Red Raspberry Seed Oil and should not be presented as specifications for Certified Organic material. Analytical methods and reporting formats may differ across years. The applicable specification and lot specific CoA provided for an order control.

The current lot Certificate of Analysis and full source laboratory report are available to qualified buyers upon request.

The displayed results apply only to Lot RSO2607291. The latest tested lot is not a guarantee that every order will ship from that lot. Confirm the required lot before ordering when a project depends on a specific analytical or sensory profile.

Applications for Evaluation

Red Raspberry Seed Oil is a lightweight botanical carrier oil that can be evaluated for:

  • Facial oils and oil serums
  • Creams, lotions, and emulsions
  • Balms, salves, and body oils
  • Lip care formulations
  • Hair and scalp oils, conditioners, and masks
  • Soaps and cleansing bars
  • Massage, spa, and professional skincare products
  • Outdoor skincare and after sun formulations

Red Raspberry Seed Oil should not be presented as a tested sunscreen or assigned an SPF based only on its presence in a formulation. Any sun protection claim must be established through appropriate finished product testing and regulatory review.

This oil is offered for external cosmetic, topical, and personal care formulation use. It is not sold as a food ingredient, dietary supplement, or internal use product.

Suitability, use level, antioxidant strategy, preservation, stability, packaging, finished product performance, claims, labeling, and regulatory compliance should be evaluated by the buyer for the intended formulation and market.

Bulk Volumes and Packaging

  • 1 gallon: Available through the retail product page and for project orders
  • 5 gallons: HDPE pail
  • 10 gallons: Typically supplied as two 5 gallon HDPE pails
  • 30 gallons: HDPE drum
  • 55 gallons: HDPE drum
  • Samples and alternate configurations: Available for qualified projects by agreement

Pallet configurations typically range from 1 to 4 drums per pallet, with total pallet weight maintained at approximately 1,500 pounds for safe handling and transport.

Availability depends on grade, current inventory, crop year, production schedule, testing needs, and packaging requirements.

We press multiple batches throughout the year instead of relying on a single large annual run. This helps us maintain a shorter supply chain and provide recently produced oil. Depending on inventory and order timing, finished lots commonly ship within days to approximately three months of pressing.

Storage and Handling

  • Store containers tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
  • Protect the oil from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and prolonged exposure to air.
  • Minimize container headspace and oxygen exposure after opening.
  • Keep containers sealed when the oil is not being dispensed.
  • Store away from strong odors and incompatible materials.
  • Cool ambient storage is recommended. Refrigeration may be used for extended freshness but is not required for ordinary handling.

The conventional product storage statement lists a shelf life of up to 24 months from the production date under recommended storage conditions. Actual quality after opening depends on storage temperature, light, oxygen exposure, headspace, handling, and container condition.

Buyers should establish appropriate receiving, storage, sampling, and inventory rotation procedures for their facility and formulation.

From Pacific Northwest Seed to Finished Oil

Berry Beautiful is not buying finished commodity oil and relabeling it. For more than 14 harvest seasons, our family has worked directly with red raspberry seed and operated the equipment used to turn that seed into finished oil.

Pacific Northwest raspberry harvest supporting Berry Beautiful seed ingredient production

1. Recover and Dry the Seed

Red raspberry seed is recovered from the regional berry processing stream. We dry the seed below 120°F near the processing site to protect its condition and make productive use of a material that would otherwise have limited value.

2. Clean and Prepare

Dried seed is cleaned and conditioned before pressing. Dust, stems, and larger fruit material are removed where applicable.

3. Cold Press

At our Vashon Island facility, the seed is mechanically cold pressed below 120°F without solvents, enzymes, catalysts, or chemical processing aids.

4. Settle and Plate Filter

The oil is generally allowed to settle for approximately 14 days and is then mechanically filtered through cellulose plates. We do not chemically refine, bleach, deodorize, or degum it.

5. Test and Release by Lot

Finished oil is assigned a lot, evaluated against the applicable quality requirements, and supported by independent laboratory testing and lot documentation.

6. Package and Ship

We package retail and bulk oil ourselves. When a buyer has a question about color, aroma, processing, documentation, or the current lot, they can speak directly with people who understand how the oil was made.
